Bio
Hi, I’m Dan, and I want to encourage and help you persevere in life, leadership, and faith.
My website exists as a resource for you to engage with the variety of different types of media – from my podcast, blog posts, and more.
A little context about me:
I grew up in Perth before moving to Edinburgh to study Chemistry at Heriot-Watt University in 2008.
Post-university, I pivoted into working in a church (yes, I know, from chemistry to church!). I have been in leadership roles at City on a Hill for over 12 years, including nine years as the Student & Young Adults Pastor and three and a half years as the Executive Pastor, where I oversaw staff and managed daily operations for a large multi-site church in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Since March 2025, I have been the Communications and Fundraising Officer at Teapot Trust, supporting children’s mental health through art therapy for those facing long-term illness.
I’m currently studying a two-year part-time Diploma in ‘Integrative Counselling – a Christian Perspective’ with Vital Pathways Training.
Travelling, coffee, and reading are also passions of mine. My love for reading began in childhood and flourished in my twenties, particularly in the areas of personal and leadership development.
Through my own content, I seek to give back some wisdom which I have gained from experience, reflection, and learning from others.
Keep Up with Dan
