I’m doing it again… and I think I’m a bit crazy.
A few years ago, I would never have imagined running a marathon; I’ve surprised myself – and probably a few others – in doing so. And now, for the third year in a row, I’ve signed up to run another one.
On Sunday, 24th May, I will be participating in the Edinburgh Marathon, covering 26.2 miles from the city centre out into East Lothian and then back to cross the finish line at Musselburgh.
I’ll be running in support of Teapot Trust. This is the charity I work for, and we support children and young people with long-term health conditions through art therapy. The resilience and creativity shown by these young people are truly inspiring.
Art therapy provides them with the tools to cope with pain, stress, questions about life and identity, and more. It offers them a safe space to express themselves and feel understood.
I’m aiming to raise £750. Can you help? Visit the link to donate.
Please visit Teapot Trust’s website to find out more about the work we do.
Thank you very much for reading. I’d love to hear from you – please feel free to leave a comment.
